Instruction for Oral Speakers
1. Date & Time
  Friday, 22 July (16:00-17:00)

2. Computers
 Windows: You may use your own PC or PC media (CD-R, USB memory).
Macintosh: You may only use your own computer (please do not bring the data only).


3. Sound
 Sound functions will not be available.


4. Preview Center
 Speakers are requested to present their materials at the preview center at least 60 min. prior to the presentation.


5 -a. Instructions for presenters bringing PC media
  (Windows only)
_Please prepare your presentation data as follows.
OS : Windows 2000 - Windows 7
Applications : Windows PowerPoint 2000, 2002, 2003 2007 or 2010
_Put all data files in one folder, including reference files, if any.
_Please make a spare file for safe in case you lost the data.
_After compiling your presentation file, do a test run on another computer to make sure it functions work normally
_In order to avoid virus infection, please scan your data with updated anti-virus software beforehand.
How to give a presentation
_Before you give a presentation, an operator sets up the first page of Power Point for your presentation. When you are on the stage, please use the mouse and keyboard that is set up on the speech desk.
_Please register your presentation data at the preview center one hour before the presentation. We will send the data via LAN to the room where you will present.
_By the way, the data that you give us will be erased after the congress finishes.


5 -b. Instructions for presenters bringing PC
 (for Windows & Macintosh)
_Please bring your own AC Adaptor.
_Connection for outsourcing data is only D-sub 15 pin. Please check that the computer you will use on the day has D-sub 15 pin.
_The monitor size is XGA (1024 X 768). Please check before ahead that output display is available.
_We might ask you to change the setting for PC due to preventing the lower performance of the computer.
_Please register your presentation data at the preview center one hour before your presentation. And, please bring your PC for the Operator seats.
How to make a presentation
_Before you give a presentation, an operator sets up the first page of Power Point for your presentation. When you are on the stage, please use the mouse and keyboard that is set up on the speech desk.
_After finishing the presentation, you will immediately receive your PC from the operator seat.

  _Posting, Your session and removing are scheduled as below.
Posting Exhibition is for two day. Note that any posters over the removal time will be disposed by the secretariat.

Removing : July, 23 PM4:30-5:00
_The poster panel should be 210cm long and 90cm wide
_The title number is printed in advance, Please prepare the title, Institution and name yourself.





 
 
International Session of the 43rd Annual Meeting of the JSME
 The international session organized by the JSME International Affairs Committee aims to provide opportunities to share and exchange knowledge, ideas and opinions on medical/health professional education with foreign colleagues and experts through research presentations and discussions in English. All interested in participating in this session are welcome.

Abstract Submissions for International Sessions
The International Affairs Committee of the JSME welcomes the submission of English abstracts of covering any topics in medical education. Abstracts may include original research (comprehensive or pilot studies), research reviews, case studies, and educational techniques.
Submissions
  Abstract submissions will be accepted between February 1, and March 15, 2011

*Oral Presentation: Registration was closed.
*Poster Presentation: Registration was closed.
Deadline for Submission is April 15(noon), 2011.
1. Registration; Please registrate your abstract from the buttons below.
  Abstracts should include a title (< 30 words), authors' names, authors' affiliations, and consist of Background, Methods, Results and Conclusion. The body of the abstracts must be within 250 words.
2. Authors should indicate their preference: oral, poster, or either.
   
Review and Selection
1. Submitted abstracts will be reviewed carried out by the International Affairs Committee of the JSME for acceptance decision.
2. Confirmation of acceptance will be sent by email by the end of April.
 
Presentation
  All papers in the International Session will be presented either in oral or poster form. Detailed information on how to prepare your presentation will be provided in the abstract acceptance letter.
 
Best Presentation Awards
  Presentations will be evaluated by several invited peers and selected members of the International Affairs Committee of the JSME. Awards for the best oral and poster presentations will be presented during the reception(Friday, 22 July 18:30-20:30 / 3F "Orchid", ANA Crowne Plaza Hiroshima). Oral presentations are evaluated on the presentation skills and the contents, whereas poster presentations are evaluated on the poster designs and the contents.


Conflicts of interest will be considered for the evaluation of presentations.
We ask that all presenters disclose all potential conflicts of interest.
 


Financial support
  We are happy to announce that the conference office will waive the registration and reception fees for all international participants coming from abroad who will be presenting at this International Session.
